The addition of alternate game modes is something that would be cool to see. Play online or over local WiFi with 4-10 players as a crewmate or impostor. However on September 23 2020 Innersloth officially announced the cancellation of Among Us 2 only a little more than a month after the original announcement due to the already existing attention and love of Among Us.
I imagine that the first episode of TWAU sold pretty well but after the long wait for episode 2 I think a lot of people just stopped giving a shit.
